What the website currently stores
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or behavioural profiling on this website.
If you use the measurement switch or tick ingredients on a recipe, your browser stores those choices on your device. They are used only to remember the feature you selected, are not sent to us and are not used to identify or follow you. You can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
The website’s hosting service may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser details and access time. We do not use that information for advertising or marketing.
Contact messages
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected subject and message so that we can read and respond to your enquiry. We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests in managing enquiries and operating One Man and a Pan.
Form submissions are processed by Formspree, which forwards them to our One Man and a Pan mailbox. Formspree may process information outside the UK, subject to the safeguards described in its security information.
Ordinary enquiries will be kept for up to 12 months after the last substantive contact, then deleted unless there is a legal, contractual or safeguarding reason to keep them longer. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the form.
Newsletter
We use MailerLite to collect the email address you submit through the newsletter form and to manage subscription records. We send newsletters only with your consent, use double opt-in confirmation, and provide an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.
Your active subscription information will be kept until you unsubscribe or we stop the newsletter. A minimal suppression record may then be retained so that we can respect your choice not to receive further messages. MailerLite will act as a service provider processing information on our behalf and may use approved safeguards for international transfers where required.
Book purchases and external links
Links to buy Comfort Food take you to our Payhip shop. Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal. We use order and delivery details to manage your purchase, and Bookvault receives the details needed to print and deliver your book. Please also read the privacy information provided at checkout.
Who information may be shared with
We do not sell personal information. Where necessary, information may be processed by service providers that help us host the website, deliver the newsletter or manage communications. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to some processing, and withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis used.
